Blackboard Learn is the course management system used to deliver courses at Allen College. Blackboard Learn is not to be confused with Cornerstone, ATI Testing or ExamSoft.

Regardless of program of study, all Allen College courses have a Blackboard component.

Blackboard Orientation Video

This video is included in your new student orientation materials. It covers many important topics including how to initialize your password.

Password Reset Instructions

To set up your Blackboard password or reset your password, use the following instructions:

  1. Go to the Blackboard Login page.
  2. Select the Forgot Password? link (located under the Sign In button)
  3. Choose either the USERNAME OPTION or the EMAIL ADDRESS OPTION. (Important: Only complete one option)
  4. Your username is your Allen College email address, for example jane.doe@lacasadelaschapas.com
  5. Enter your first and last name the same as it appears in the Student Portal.
  6. Select the Submit button.

An email will be sent to your school email address with instructions on how to reset your password.

Passwords are case sensitive, and must meet the following requirements:

  • Be between 12-32 charactrs
  • Contain at least one number (0-9)
  • Contain at least one special character (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/)
